Hello everyone! Hoping you all are having a great Holiday season. This will be the final update of the year... and the final update for this version of QRUX. So slightly big announcement, I am planning to redo QRUX into something more large, into a format that while I never had full experience in doing, is something as a kid attempted to do.
I can't go into full detail, but if y'all know and follow me on Discord, you know that I've been dabbing into game development again. As my current plans for QRUX going forward won't be another manga chapter, but instead a Full-Fledged Game. Again, I don't want to make promises I can't keep, but i've been in works on making a prototype in Unreal Engine, and I plan for next year to begin working on a Game Dev vlog channel on Youtube. This is also a main reason as to why I haven't been doing as much livestreams as I've been doing (beside the rebrand and new VTuber design i plan on debuting), as I've been thinking of ways to dramatically change my content and produce something I'm proud of. I've found out first hand that Manga and Web comics are VERY expensive if you aren't an experienced artist, and as someone who only is a scriptwriter, if i want to have full agency over the product I'm making, learning a new skill and using that skill to make an income could be the easiest route.
In my ten years on Youtube as my current internet presence, I've done everything from voice acting, abridiging, podcasting, VTubing, and web comics, but something I did before becoming "Nintles" as y'all may used to know me as, was making a Mega Man fangame. Now, I was awful at using Game Maker and the only thing i was able to do while using it was making my own levels in it, "??? and profit", no programming knowledge. But now, with game engines and indie gaming exploding to where it is now, it is easier than ever for anyone to make their own game. I started off working with something in Godot to make a little test of what a QRUX game could be like, and while i was able to make something pretty easy with it, I wanted something stronger and easier for someone to use to make a game with. Hence why I'm using Unreal. Now, its not gonna be a graphically demanding triple-A title by any means, but with Unreal's blueprint system and robust, complicated but easy to learn engine, I think i have something here that I'm really excited to share with everyone. I just wanna say thank you to everyone who has read the manga this past year, and while I don't guarantee you'll see the next part of Ritta's story next year in video game form, when you will see it, expect something exciting.
In the meantime, I'm gonna be releasing a new piece of QRUX merch this weekend. This was a poster I made for fun but could give hints as to what to expect for the rest of the story. The "Do You Remember Me?" merch line will be released with a T-Shirt, Hoodie and Poster as a piece to mark off the end of the year, and mark the end of this current era of QRUX and a piece for the new beginning to come.
Again everyone, I wanna thank everyone who has supported me this past year, it really means alot. While I expected alot more success from QRUX, I'm grateful who has read it enjoyed it and it only shows me that I need to put the work into everything i do, including VTubing to produce something even more great. Speaking of VTubing, I'll be streaming tonight and on new years' eve as I usually do every year, and while i can't promise more streams in the next year, the plan will be to launch the new game dev channel with the VTuber design as the face of the channel. I really hope y'all have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year, and I'll see y'all in 2025!
